Pop legends Kaiser Chiefs and Toploader announced as headliners for the North Wales Llanfest festival this July.
The 8th July gig will be Kaiser Chiefs’ first show in Wales for nearly two years. Joining Kaiser Chiefs on the bill will be Toploader, who are slated to be performing a selection of tracks from their 2017 album Seeing Stars. The groups will also be joined by The Hoosiers at the indie pop-centric festival.
Recently added to the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, Llanfest brings guitar-based indie to the festival, which is already highly regarded for its jazz, classical, R&B and world music lineups.
Last year’s Llanfest was headlined by Welsh heroes the Manic Street Preachers, and the entire International Eisteddfod festival saw around 50,000 visitors over its weeklong run. This year, the event will run from 3rd – 8th July, with over 4,000 performers lined up to take the stage.
Speaking to the venue, Toploader’s Dan Hipgrave said “We’re excited to join the fantastic line up for Llanfest 2018. The International Eisteddfod is such a musically diverse event and we’re looking forward to it.”
