‘More Than Friends’, the new track from producer James Hype and vocalist Kelli-Leigh, has hit number 8 on the UK Top 40, and it’s still climbing.

The song, released last month, has been slowly building momentum over the past few weeks, with major radio airplay now propelling it into the UK singles charts.

Previously, the song held a top 5 spot on the Spotify Global Viral 50 chart, indicating that it was primed for big things. Many of the country’s top DJs, from the likes of Radio 1 and KISS FM have given the song their support, introducing it to thousands of listeners who rushed to download or stream it for themselves.

If the track keeps climbing, ‘More Than Friends’ could become Kelli-Leigh’s third number one single, after she provided vocals for Duke Dumont’s ‘I Got U’ and Secondcity’s ‘I Wanna Feel’.
