Ticketmaster is putting fans’ safety first as they roll out new technology, SmartEvent.
This November, Ticketmaster launched SmartEvent, a new wave of technology that hopes to provide coronavirus-secure live entertainment events. The technological program has a number of features, which will be the structure behind the safety. A statement put out by Live Nation listed eight features to their new technology. The features include: Contactless Entry, Timed Entry, Contactless Box Office, Ticket Transfer, Contact Tracing, Contactless Payment and Mobile Ordering, Social Distance Seating and Entry Rate Monitoring. These features will be shared between fans and employees working behind the scenes to make concerts and sporting events fun and safe for all.
“SmartEvent brings together our advanced technology platform and industry-leading venue and seating insights, putting Ticketmaster in the unique position to facilitate paths back to live.”
Mark Yovich, President of Ticketmaster
They are also working with event organisers and venues on the logistics of integrating COVID-19 diagnostics and test results as entry criteria to live events they host. With Ticketmaster being the world’s largest ticket marketplace and the global market leader in live event ticketing products and services, it’s safe to say that they may be the experts when it comes to making facilities safe again for fans.
“We have every confidence that the industry will prevail, and that our cutting-edge technology, local expertise, global reach and fan insights will lead the way.”
