New signing: 112 | News | MN2S

We are delighted to welcome R&B legends 112 to the MN2S booking agency live roster this week.

With well over 150 million plays of their tracks across YouTube and Spotify, 112 are one of the most popular R&B groups of all time. The quartet met at high school in Atlanta, and all came from a classically-trained background. Originally singing together as Forte, they eventually earned the chance to audition for Sean ‘Puffy’ Combs, who signed them to his Bad Boy Records label.

They rose to fame on Bad Boy between 1997 and 2001, with their first major success coming as part of the Notorious B.I.G. tribute single ‘I’ll Be Missing You’ with Puff Daddy and Faith Evans, The single spent eleven weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, went triple platinum, hit #1 on sales charts across the world and earned the quartet a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or a Group. Hugely successful singles like ‘Love Me’, ‘Anywhere’ and ‘It’s Over Now’ followed, with the group supporting both Whitney Houston and Janet Jackson on tour.

In 2002, they signed with Def Jam’s Def Soul sub-label, releasing albums ‘Hot & Wet’ and ‘Pleasure & Pain’, which went platinum. They split in 2006 to pursue solo careers, but reformed and launched their own label One Twelve Music Group in 2007.

Since then, they have frequently reunited to tour and perform together – including at the BET Awards this year as part of the Bad Boy Reunion segment. The original line-up of Quinnes “Q” Parker, Daron Jones, Marvin “Slim” Scandrick and Michael Keith continue to perform together today.
