The dance move has become recognized across the world as professional athletes, rappers, video games, television shows, and more have adopted the irresistibly goofy dance phenomenon.
The Backpack Kid rose to prominence through his Instagram account, gaining millions of followers with videos that featured his wild and wacky dance moves. A couple years and a Rihanna repost later, he now reaches an audience upwards of 2 million on the platform. His content shows him experimenting with different dance moves, showing off his fresh street fashion, and collaborating with other social media influencers and celebrities.
The Backpack Kid has recently made a move into the music world, releasing a track to accompany his iconic dance move that’s gathered 10 million views on YouTube. Horning has recently appeared in a Genius interview, going into detail and explaining the meaning behind his lyrics.
