MN2S are pleased to announce the latest addition to our live roster, We Are Brando.
Closely affiliated with Boy George, this electrifying three-piece are heavily influenced by the musical stylings of the late ’70s and ’80s. Made up of brothers Joe and Sam Lewis, alongside companion Luke Begley, We Are Brando have co-written several songs alongside the former Culture Club front-man, releasing their music through his label BGP.
Originally known as Brando, the band synthesise a range of influences, spanning from Depeche Mode to Gary Numan, to Bros and The Pet Shop Boys, resulting in a new and original sound that continues to develop. Dark, edgy, and dramatic, their synth-heavy tracks fuse epic drum beats, surrealist synths and emotive vocal performances to produce melancholic masterpieces imbued with the spirit of electro and synth-pop.
Following the success of their breakout singles “Star Crossed Lovers” and “I Don’t Know What I Want”, We Are Brando released their latest effort in 2018. Accompanied by a video produced by acclaimed director William Baker, “Trains” touches on themes of identity, faith and isolation, announcing We Are Brando as three of the next generation’s most gifted songwriters. With their debut album currently in production, and a series live dates in the calendar, We Are Brando are set to continue their meteoric rise throughout 2019.
