Nomi Ruiz has teamed up with Animal Feelings for the new single ‘Chemical Love’.

Animal Feelings is the latest project from New York-based producer Oli Chang, best known as part of High Highs with Jack Milas.

The track ‘Chemical Love’ features Nomi Ruiz on vocals, and is part of the full-length Animal Feelings LP. Ruiz’s vocals are breathy and ethereal, singing of an all-consuming love over a textured synth pop beat.

The track has already reached number seven on Hype Machine, and it is expected to climb higher as more listeners are exposed to its addictive sound. ‘Chemical Love’ was premiered on Stereogum last week, and has since gained acclaim from fans and critics alike.

Nomi recently announced the release of her mixtape Borough Gypsy 2: Nomi X Dilla, due out soon. The album will feature Nomi singing and rapping over beats from the late, great J Dilla. Her latest release from this project was ‘The Light’, a take on the beat Dilla originally produced for the track ‘Dime Piece’ feat. Dwele from his album The Shining.
