Indie-rock darlings Alt-J will release a remixed version of their album Relaxer featuring major rap talent including Paigey Cakey.

Paigey Cakey will find herself in good company on Alt-J’s Reduxer, with the likes of Pusha T, Danny Brown, Little Simz and Goldlink also appearing on reworked versions of the 2017 album. The band recently debuted the new version of track ‘In Cold Blood’ with Twin Shadow and Danny Brown on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Paigey Cakey’s track will come off the back of her hugely successful appearance on Wireless Festival’s first ever female-only stage. Speaking to MN2S, the rapper said, “I feel really happy and empowered to be one of the first acts to perform on the first all-female stage. I feel like I’m part of something that will go down in history. I think it’s very important to shine light on females as we don’t get as much recognition as males in the industry and it’s a very male dominated scene.”

This latest collaboration goes even further to prove that Paigey Cakey deserves to be seen alongside rap’s greatest talent.
