Rick Astley has topped the UK album chart with latest album 50.

MN2S artist Rick Astley beat out younger artists Tom Odell and Drake to the top spot. He also fought off competition from fellow music veterans Paul McCartney and ELO, both of whose albums charted highly this week.

On Rick Astley’s brand new album, titled 50 after his age this year, the singer takes his music in a more mature, soulful direction – a major departure from his Stock, Aitken & Waterman days. His comeback single ‘Keep Singing’ was released in April to universal acclaim. Watch the video below:

Rick is no stranger to chart success. Even before 50 topped the charts, he had sold over 40 million records worldwide, and the YouTube video for his 80s hit ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ is one of the most watched videos on YouTube with an unprecedented view count of over 216,800,000.

As his recent TV appearances prove, Rick Astley is still a fantastic live performer with an iconic voice, and he is able to bring in an audience of fans of his old material and of his more recent work. Book Rick Astley now to see for yourself.
