Dr. Wendy Osefo will be making a personal appearance at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference in Washington D.C, attending the event’s Phoenix Awards Dinner. Wendy shared an Instagram post promoting the event with her audience of over 600,000 followers, telling them that the CBCF is “hosting their Annual Legislative Conference this week in D.C. and you DO NOT want to miss it! ALC is the leading policy conference on issues impacting African Americans and the global Black community. Thought leaders, legislators, and citizens are coming together for five days of premium programming and signature events including the Day of Healing, National Town Hall, Phoenix Awards and Black Party.” Wendy Osefo is a Nigerian-American television personality, political commentator, and professor. Initially gaining prominence as a cast member on Bravo’s reality TV series The Real Housewives of Potomac, Wendy Osefo is also an accomplished academic, holding a Ph.D. in Public Affairs and Community Development. She is a professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education, a sought-after speaker on issues related to education, race, and social justice, and the author of Tears of My Mother: The Legacy of My Nigerian Upbringing.
