Gloria Gaynor and Lang Lang appeared at Riyadh’s 2024 Joy Awards this week. The Joy Awards ceremony, held at Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh, celebrates the best in Arabic music, film, television, sports and other media. Organised by Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, in partnership with the MBC group, this year’s event was the third of its kind. Gloria Gaynor performed her iconic hit single “I Will Survive” as a surprise performance at the ceremony, accompanied by a local orchestra. The performance was recorded and broadcasted by NBC. Renowned pianist Lang Lang also attended the ceremony and delivered a brief performance.
