The interstellar compilation features music from a variety of artists, both established and up-and-coming. Aside from Rui, artists include Howie B featuring Norman Reedus, Pye Corner Audio, Major Force Productions, Ancient Lights featuring Flowdan, Jacknife Lee, Blood Wine or Honey and two new Pussyfoot signees Milo Clare and Ninna Lundberg. Described as “fantastically ambitious” by Record Collector Magazine, the record has been released on Pussyfoot Records, a label founded in 1993 by DJ, artist and producer Howie B, known for its eclectic compilation releases.
Rui Da Silva’s contribution, titled ‘Interstellar Voyager 3’, is a suitably extra-terrestrial exploration of synthesised ambience, lightyears away from his typically club-focused productions. Showing a new side to Rui’s diverse sound, the track confirms his status as one of the electronic music world’s most innovative producer.
