Snap! have released a limited edition picture disc vinyl version of their celebrated album World Power to celebrate its 33rd anniversary. Released on 3rd March in partnership with Limited Addition Records, it’s the first time the album has been pressed as a limited 12″ picture disc and features fantastic retro artwork. Snap!’s debut album, World Power, was released in 1990 and quickly became a commercial success, topping the charts in several countries and spawning several hit singles. The album’s sound was a fusion of electronic dance music, hip-hop, and Eurodance, featuring catchy hooks and propulsive beats. The album’s lead single, “The Power,” became an international hit and is still considered one of the most iconic dance tracks of the era. Other notable tracks on the album include “Ooops Up,” “Cult of Snap,” and “Mary Had a Little Boy.” World Power cemented Snap!’s status as a major force in the dance music scene of the early 1990s.
