The eclectic producer and MN2S PR client returns to his roots in house music with a new release shared on 5th November.
DJ and producer icekream has dropped another gem in his prolific release schedule with the new single ‘Everything She Wants’, available now worldwide through his own label Kream Kingdom. After ten years of fine-tuning, icekream has finally put the finishing touches on this melodious house ranger, which sees him paying homage to the classic house of the late ’90s with a bare-bones 808 beat and groove-laden synth bassline supporting a Roisin Murphy-esque vocal. However, this is not a purely nostalgic exercise: despite it’s old-school leanings, this one is keeping a foot firmly in the 2020s, injecting the classic house formula with a contemporary edge.
“The song is about seduction,” explained the Miami-based producer, who produced the track during a stint spent in London. “It had been gathering audio dust for years until… Lockdown! During that time, I dug it out. The missing jigsaw piece was the vocal sample — as soon as I found that, everything fell into place.”
