Josh Hartnett narrates F1: Back at Base podcast for BBC | MN2S

Josh Hartnett has been enlisted to narrate the second season of BBC’s F1: Back at Base, a popular podcast and eight-part documentary series that gives listeners unprecedented access to two of the most formidable teams in Formula 1: Mercedes and Williams. Featuring behind-the-scenes insights, interviews with key personnel and a host of F1’s biggest stars, the podcast’s first season was an unqualified hit. Narrating all eight episode of the second season, Josh Hartnett will be replacing the first season’s narrator, Joseph Fiennes. The second season is due out next week; listen to the first season below.

Josh Hartnett emerged as a leading actor in the late 1990s, transitioning from early horror films to major studio productions like Pearl Harbor and Black Hawk Down. The Minnesota native made headlines when, at the peak of his commercial success, he chose to pursue independent films over mainstream blockbusters. His career has since balanced thoughtful dramatic roles with television work, notably starring in Penny Dreadful. Though he largely stepped away from Hollywood’s spotlight, Hartnett has maintained a steady presence in both independent cinema and prestige television, demonstrating his range beyond the romantic leads that initially defined his career.
