Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan is returning to the spotlight in 2019, starring in a brand new reality television series.
Airing on MTV, the show follows Lohan as she enters the hospitality business, launching the third in a series of beach house resorts on the Greek island of Mykonos. She has enlisted a cadre of “VIP hosts” to help run the establishment, and the show focuses on her efforts to whip them into shape and build a successful business in the process.
The Apprentice meets Vanderpump Rules
Described as “The Apprentice meets Vanderpump Rules” by the Huffington Post, the series sees Lohan reinvent herself as an entrepreneur. Her second foray into reality television, it follows 2014’s Lindsay, a docuseries that was produced alongside Oprah Winfrey. Fans will recognise Lohan as the star of several widely adored films: 1998’s Parent Trap, 2003’s Freaky Friday and 2004’s Mean Girls have all enjoyed the rare combination of box office success and cult status. Since her screen debut, she’s appeared in smaller, more independent roles and carved out a successful career in pop music.
“I’ve been working for 28 years in Hollywood, and I’ve come so far in my life,” the 32-year-old Lohan announces. “I know the ups and downs of being in the spotlight. Now, I want to do things differently. I want to be my own boss.”
Speaking in the first episode, Lindsay makes her intentions clear.
