London-based event listing company Nightmapper has launched an app which aims to help people easily locate parties near them.
The iOS and Android app is integrated with Citymapper, Google Maps and Apple Maps to help guide people to their locations, and features a novel ‘Push To Party’ button – which appears to be a one-tap method for finding a nearby party.
“There seemed to be an app for everything but nothing for finding a good party quickly” says Nightmapper CTO Harley Morlet. “I had been in the situation so many times where last orders had been called at the bar and the group is ready to move on, but no one knows where to go. It made sense to solve the problem ourselves and at the same time help other people out.
“Our target audience is people that enjoy going out late at night, and late night events in London are driven by the electronic music scene. We are all really into House, Techno, Disco, Drum and Bass and Hip Hop, so have a good knowledge of these events, but if an event is cool and goes on late, we will list it.”
