A1B, formerly A1 Bassline, has been a major player on the dance music scene since he turned heads with his first EP in 2012. Since then he has earnt the support of DJs like Baumecker, Maya Jane Coles, and Radio 1’s B Traits, Heidi and Moxie. His music has also been championed by artists like Skream, XXXY, Detroit Swindle, Tensnake and publications like Resident Advisor.

After A1B established his musical vision, many great labels soon snapped up his productions, including Catz & Dogz’s Pets Recordings and Gruuv. A1B also works with Leon Vynehall as half of the duo Laszlo Dancehall, putting out many great releases as part of this pairing.

Recently A1B set up a label of his own, fittingly named A1B Records. The label is set to focus on sample driven house music, as first release Part 1 EP shows. It’s lead track ‘EDTS1’ was premiered on Data Transmission, and has seen praise from Ryan Elliot, The Black Madonna, Joris Voorn and Huxley.
A1B is just as on point in the club as he is in the studio. He has played in venues like Berlin’s Watergate, London’s Fabric, Space Ibiza and Glasgow’s Sub Club. His sets are dynamic and diverse, filled with nostalgic nods to his influences, and the cutting edge productions that made his name.
