Aletha initiated her DJ career in 2017, quickly becoming a consistent presence on radio platforms. She began with monthly shows on KMAH Radio, Narr, Sable Radio, and Melodic Distraction. Her track selection, which blends jazz, broken beat, and soulful house, garnered attention. This led to guest appearances on other stations including Jazz FM, Rinse FM, and NTS, alongside contributing mixes to publications such as Ransom Note, Sub Club, Dimension Festival, Mixmag, and DJ Mag.
Early in her career, Aletha supported established artists like Bradley Zero, Mr. Scruff, and Zakia at various venues across the UK.
