Robert Etheridge, professionally known as Dimension, was born on October 8, 1991. He began his musical journey early, taking piano lessons as a child and later exploring electronic production with FL Studio. An early introduction to drum and bass through Pendulum’s “Hold Your Colour” significantly influenced his artistic direction. His distinctive aesthetic, evident in both his music and visual presentations, quickly established him as a unique presence in the electronic music scene.
Dimension released his debut single, “Delight,” in 2012, marking the beginning of his professional career. His talent was recognized by Chase & Status, who signed him to their MTA Records label in 2014. A significant milestone in his career came in 2018 with the release of “Desire,” a collaboration with Sub Focus. This track reached number 51 on the UK Singles Chart and achieved platinum certification in the UK, bringing him international attention. In the same year, he mixed the 98th edition of the Fabric Live album, a testament to his rising influence.
His career further advanced with the release of his debut album, “Organ,” in March 2021. The album achieved critical and commercial success, debuting at number one on the UK Official Dance Chart. Dimension has collaborated with various artists, including Wilkinson, Culture Shock, and Alison Wonderland, and has released music on prominent labels such as EMI Records and RAM Records. His contributions have solidified his position at the forefront of the drum and bass genre.
