Flipside
As the official DJ for the Chicago Bulls, the US National Soccer Team and the Northwestern University basketball team, DJ Flipside keeps listeners’ hearts pumping with his turntable skills and an original style that fuses electro house and EDM. He has remixed artists such as Beyoncé, Selena Gomez and Rihanna as the producer of the Jump Smokers. While performing with the hugely popular group, he was the official DJ for the critically acclaimed and sold-out Pitbull & Enrique Iglesias tour, where Flipside kept crowds hyped night after night.
The Chicago-raised DJ, born Sam Vincent Garcia, is known for the highly rated “Flipside at Five” mix show on Entercom’s B96 and 104.3 Jams in Chicago. A gifted selector recognized within the global community, he won Best Regional Open Format Club DJ of the Year at the 2017 Global Spin Awards. Growing up in the city influenced his love for house music, which set the foundation for a deep knowledge of dance music from all subgenres and parts of the world. Flipside has performed all over the world, from Las Vegas to Miami, to Atlantic City to Manila.
His latest remixes include Mariah Carey, Foster The People, Anne Marie and AJR. Balancing between open format and EDM, Flipside’s magic touch on the turntables makes almost anyone get up and dance. Not many people can claim they got a Chicago Bulls player to dance to Taylor Swift in the locker room, but Flipside can.
