Jiluka is a dynamic Japanese visual kei metal band that has made significant strides in the music industry since its formation in 2013. Initially debuting with a lineup that included Ricko, Sena, Boogie, and JaiL, the band quickly garnered attention with their unique sound and energetic performances. After a brief hiatus, they reformed in 2015 with drummer Zyean, marking a new chapter in their career. Their debut single “Screamer” and the EP “Brave Agonistic Letters Under Segregation” showcased their modern metal style, setting the stage for their future successes.
In 2018, Jiluka released their first full-length album, “Metamorphose,” which reached number eight on the Oricon Indies Albums charts, solidifying their presence in the visual kei scene. The band continued to expand their reach by sponsoring the Mad Pit Tour in 2019, collaborating with notable bands, and releasing a cover album titled “Polyhedron.” Their greatest hits album, “Xanadu,” released in November 2019, included a new song, further demonstrating their creative evolution.
The band’s resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic was evident as they adapted to new performance formats, including a free online show in 2021. Their album “Idola,” released in September 2021, showcased their growth and versatility, while subsequent tours highlighted their commitment to connecting with fans worldwide.
Jiluka’s recent achievements include their first performance in the United States and a successful world tour named K4RMA, which sold out multiple dates across Europe. Their innovative blend of metal, hip hop, and electronic elements continues to captivate audiences, establishing Jiluka as a prominent force in the contemporary music landscape.
