Naked And Famous is a New Zealand indie electronic band that has achieved international recognition, evolving their sound through multiple studio albums and extensive global touring. After releasing their debut single ‘Young Blood,’ which debuted at number one on the New Zealand chart in 2010, Naked And Famous achieved international recognition for their distinctive indie electronic sound. The band currently comprised of Alisa Xayalith (vocals, keyboards) and Thom Powers (vocals, guitars) first introduced their unique style through early extended plays ‘This Machine’ and ‘No Light,’ released on the independent label Round Trip Mars. This initial success culminated with their debut studio album, ‘Passive Me, Aggressive You,’ released on September 6, 2010, under their own label, Somewhat Damaged.
Recorded in Los Angeles and mixed in London, this album propelled the band onto the global stage, including a notable performance at the prestigious Coachella festival in 2014. They further captivated audiences with an appearance at the Wanderland Music and Arts Festival in 2016. In October 2016, Naked And Famous delivered their third studio album, ‘Simple Forms,’ released through Somewhat Damaged in collaboration with Kobalt Label Services. Following the albums release, the band opened for Blink-182 on a U.S.
Marking a significant return to live performances after a five-year hiatus, the duo is slated to perform at the prestigious Singapore Grand Prix in October 2025, underscoring their enduring appeal on the international festival circuit.
