DJ Sammy

DJ Sammy’s professional recording career commenced in November 1995 with the release of his debut single, ‘Life Is Just a Game,’ featuring Marie-José, which achieved Top 10 status on the Spanish record chart. This success built upon a foundational decade performing in Mallorca’s dance clubs since 1984, a period that included sound technician training at the Mallorca Music College. In 1991, he collaborated with vocalist Marie-José van der Kolk, performing together at Zorba’s Club in Palma, and by 1992, DJ Sammy secured a residency at the Joy Palace Club in Arenal. Following ‘Life Is Just a Game,’ he followed with singles ‘You’re My Angel’ and ‘Prince of Love,’ which gained popularity on the German record charts.

In 2007, he notably collaborated with Grammy-winning artist Enrique Iglesias. That same year, he showcased his production by producing and co-writing ‘Superstar’ for Marta Sánchez and writing and producing ‘Aquí Ahora’ for David Bisbal. His ability to craft compelling tracks for diverse artists has cemented his reputation as a sought-after producer and songwriter. Expanding his reach, DJ Sammy embarked on the Balearic Masters tour in 2007, captivating audiences across multiple continents.

His continued commitment to releasing new music is evident in singles such as ‘Shut Up and Kiss Me’ with The Jackie Boyz (2013) and ‘This Is Who We Are’ with Chloe Martin (2020), underscoring his enduring presence in the evolving music landscape.
