Yellow Claw is a Dutch DJ and record production duo from Amsterdam, known for their fusion of trap, hip hop, dubstep, and hardstyle in their music.
Yellow Claw signed to Diplo's label Mad Decent in 2013. They released their first international EP Amsterdam Trap Music and their second studio album Los Amsterdam under this label.
Yellow Claw signed with Spinnin' Records in 2013 and released their first international single 'Shotgun' through the label. Their own label, Barong Family, was also distributed by Spinnin' Records until early 2015.

In May 2014, Yellow Claw inaugurated their own record label, Barong Family, which initially distributed artists like Mightyfools and released over 600 titles to date. It also encompasses an additional apparel line.
In August 2019, Yellow Claw officially signed to Roc Nation. They released their album 'Never Dies' and singles like 'Get Up' and 'Baila Conmigo' under this label.
Yellow Claw collaborated with the Indonesian electronic music trio Weird Genius on the single 'Lonely' featuring Indonesian singer Novia Bachmid. Their Barong label has represented Indonesia in these collaborations.
Dutch DJ duo Yellow Claw was announced as one of the first acts for Singaporean label Hype Record's HypeWorld festival.
Yellow Claw, originally a trio, began in Amsterdam in 2010. The group, consisting of Jim Taihuttu (Jim Aasgier) and Nils Rondhuis (Nizzle), along with former member Leonardo Roelandschap (Bizzey), quickly gained recognition after founding and hosting a popular night party at Amsterdam’s Jimmy Woo nightclub. Their distinct sound, which blends elements from various genres including trap, hip hop, and hardstyle, helped them establish a strong presence in the electronic music scene. Their early success included several singles that charted in the Dutch and Belgian national charts, such as “Krokobil,” “Nooit Meer Slapen,” “Thunder,” and “Last Night Ever,” with accompanying music videos accumulating millions of views on YouTube. They also performed at numerous Dutch festivals during this period, including DirtyDutch Festival and Tomorrowland.
In 2013, Yellow Claw signed with Diplo’s Mad Decent label, releasing their first international EP, “Amsterdam Trap Music.” This was followed by performances at BBC Radio 1’s Diplo and Friends and the 2013 Tomorrowland Festival. They released a second EP, “Amsterdam Twerk Music,” and their first international single, “Shotgun” featuring Rochelle, which charted in the Netherlands and Belgium. The duo continued to expand their reach, releasing their debut studio album, “Blood for Mercy,” in 2015, which reached number one on the US Dance charts. The album included collaborations with artists such as DJ Mustard, Tyga, and Ty Dolla Sign. In 2016, original member Bizzey departed the group due to family commitments, and Yellow Claw continued as a duo.
Yellow Claw released their second studio album, “Los Amsterdam,” in 2017, featuring collaborations with artists like DJ Snake and Juicy J. In July of the same year, they performed on the Mainstage of Tomorrowland, marking a significant milestone in their career. Their third studio album, “New Blood,” was released in 2018, featuring partnerships with San Holo and ASAP Ferg. In 2019, they signed with Roc Nation, followed by the release of their single “Baila Conmigo.” Their fourth studio album, “Never Dies,” was released in 2020 through Roc Nation. In May 2014, Yellow Claw also established their own record label, Barong Family, initially distributed by Spinnin’ Records, which has since grown to over 600 releases.
