In 2010, Yellow Claw, then a trio comprising Jim Taihuttu (Jim Aasgier), Nils Rondhuis (Nizzle), and former member Leonardo Roelandschap (Bizzey), gained rapid recognition after founding and hosting a popular night party at Amsterdam’s Jimmy Woo nightclub. Their distinct blend of trap, hip hop, dubstep, and hardstyle led to early success with singles like ‘Krokobil,’ ‘Nooit Meer Slapen,’ ‘Thunder,’ and ‘Last Night Ever’ charting in the Dutch and Belgian national charts between 2012 and 2013. Accompanying music videos accumulated millions of YouTube views, and Yellow Claw performed at numerous Dutch festivals, including DirtyDutch Festival and Tomorrowland, during this period. In 2013, Yellow Claw signed with Diplo’s Mad Decent label, releasing their debut international EP, ‘Amsterdam Trap Music,’ later that year.
Demonstrating continued industry recognition, Yellow Claw signed with Roc Nation in 2019, soon after releasing the successful single ‘Baila Conmigo.’ Solidifying their Roc Nation partnership, Yellow Claw released their fourth studio album, ‘Never Dies,’ in 2020. With a robust catalog of charting hits and critically acclaimed albums, Yellow Claw continues to be a dominant force in electronic music, consistently delivering high-energy performances at major festivals and producing groundbreaking tracks that resonate with a global audience.
