After the ink dried on their major label Portrait/SonyMusic Masterworks record deal, the instrumental duo 2CELLOS did what any newly famous cellists would do: theyembarked on a world tour with Sir Elton John, who described them as the mostexciting thing he’d witnessed “since I saw Jimi Hendrix live back in the 60’s”.Further live collaborations with the late George Michael, Queens of the StoneAge and even the Red Hot Chili Peppers followed. They have since gone on to winseveral major music awards, including the Porin Award for Best International Album,the Japan Gold Disc Award for International Album of the Year and theprestigious Večernjak’s Rose Musicians of theYear Award. In addition to the success of their dazzling live act, the 2CELLOSYouTube channel has received over 75 million hits to date and their albums have reached the Top 10 of theBillboard Hot 100 Digital Songs Chart, even shooting straight to No 1 on theJapanese Album Chart with their 2013 opus In2ition.

Known for eroding the boundaries between rock, pop andclassical, a 2CELLOS live performance can comprise Iron Maiden renditions,Avicii reworks, Bach recitals and even a Game of Thrones medley. The pair havetaken their eclectic repertoire to every major concert venue from the RoyalAlbert Hall in London, The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and the Radio CityMusic Hall in New York: they’ve even played to over one billion viewers,appearing on CCTV’s New Year’s Gala alongside eminent Chinese concert pianistLang Lang.
