Hollis Parker Frazier-Herndon, known professionally as 2hollis, was born on January 5, 2004, in Chicago, Illinois. His familial background includes musician John Herndon, drummer of Tortoise, and Kathryn Frazier, founder of PR firm Biz 3 and co-founder of record label Owsla. Frazier-Herndon spent his childhood in Chicago until the age of ten, when his family relocated to Los Angeles. His musical career began in high school in 2018 under the alias “Drippysoup.” He adopted the stage name 2hollis in 2020. After a brief enrollment at Evergreen State College, he left to focus on his music career.
His early work, described as “medieval trap” by 032c, was developed under the group Open Swords of Ten (OSX). 2hollis gained initial recognition with his 2022 album “White Tiger.” In 2023, his track “Poster Boy” was featured on the soundtrack for EA Sports FC 24, contributing to his growing visibility. Further popularity came in 2024 with singles such as “crush” and “jeans,” preceding the release of his third studio album, “Boy.” He later signed with Interscope Records.
Throughout 2024 and 2025, Frazier-Herndon expanded his touring schedule, supporting Ken Carson on “The Chaos Tour” in 2024, and headlining his “Leg One” (2024) and “Leg Two” (2025) North American tours, alongside European and Australian legs. His 2025 album “Star” was accompanied by a namesake tour. The single “Afraid,” a collaboration with Nate Sib, was recognized on The New York Times’ Best Songs of 2025 list. In 2025, he also supported Lorde on her “Ultrasound World Tour.” A collaboration with Ken Carson materialized on the track “ShadesOn” from Carson’s 2026 project “Xperiment,” which remixed 2hollis’ song “girl.”
