About

Adam Doleac, born on April 15, 1988, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, initially pursued a career in sports. He excelled as an athlete, playing baseball for the University of Southern Mississippi where he appeared in the College World Series. His athletic career was marked by injuries, leading him to explore music. Doleac grew up listening to artists such as Amos Lee, Dave Matthews Band, and John Mayer, which influenced his musical style. His first country concert was Toby Keith, indicating an early exposure to the genre he would later pursue professionally.

Doleac began his music career as a songwriter, contributing to songs for established artists like Darius Rucker with “Don’t” and Kane Brown. In 2017, his independent EP, featuring the song “Whiskey’s Fine,” gained traction on SiriusXM’s “The Highway Channel,” reaching number three on their Hot Country Countdown. This early success earned him recognition on various rising star lists, including Pandora Radio’s “2018 Artists to Watch” and Rolling Stone Country’s “New Country Artist You Need to Know.” He continued to build his profile through co-writing and independent releases, establishing a foundation for his future career.

In October 2019, Doleac signed with Sony Music Nashville’s Arista Nashville imprint. Following this, his single “Famous” achieved significant success, holding the number one position on SiriusXM’s “The Highway’s” Hot Country Countdown for two weeks and charting on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs for six weeks. The accompanying music video featured former ‘Bachelor’ couple Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph, increasing its visibility. He further expanded his reach with the release of a pop-driven EP, ‘Famous: The Remixes,’ after the original version surpassed 2 million streams on Spotify. Doleac released his debut studio album, ‘Barstool Whiskey Wonderland,’ on September 30, 2022, marking a significant milestone in his career.
