Korea Lee Hi is a South Korean singer and songwriter celebrated for her distinct soulful R&B sound, establishing herself as a prominent figure in the K-pop and R&B scenes.
Lee Hi partnered with MAC Cosmetics as part of their Future Forward Collection. This collaboration led to the creation of a special edition matte red lipstick named 'Lee Hi'. She also held a fan signing event and a performance showcase with MAC and Marie Claire magazine.
Lee Ha-yi, known as Lee Hi, was born on September 23, 1996, in Bucheon, Gyeonggi, South Korea. She first gained public recognition as the runner-up on the reality survival program “K-pop Star season 1” in 2011. Following her success on the show, she signed with YG Entertainment. Her debut single, “1, 2, 3, 4”, released on October 28, 2012, quickly achieved commercial success, reaching number one on charts with first-week sales of over 667,000 downloads. She released her first full-length album, “First Love”, in two parts in March 2013.
Throughout her career, Lee Hi consistently delivered hit songs and albums. In 2014, she formed the sub-unit Hi Suhyun with Lee Su-hyun of Akdong Musician, releasing the digital single “I’m Different”. In 2016, she released the half-album “Seoulite”, featuring the lead singles “Breathe” and “Hold My Hand.” “Breathe” earned her a Digital Bonsang award at the 31st Golden Disk Awards. She also contributed to various drama soundtracks, including “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo.”
In 2020, Lee Hi signed with the hip-hop R&B record label AOMG, marking a new phase in her career. Under AOMG, she released the studio album “4 Only” in 2021. Her single “Holo” peaked at number 7 on the Gaon Digital Chart and received the R&B Track of the Year award at the Korean Hip-hop Awards in 2021. In March 2024, her contract with AOMG concluded, and she subsequently signed with Duover on September 23, 2024, to manage her future activities.
