The label is known for its rigorous quality control, releasing a select number of records annually with distinctive packaging, and features collaborations with established visual artists. Innervisions also handles its own physical and digital distribution.
Âme maintains a connection with their fanbase through their online and brick-and-mortar shop, MTN Muting The Noise. This shop offers curated records, clothing, and other items that reflect the Innervisions aesthetic.
Âme's booking agency, Temporary Secretary, assists in managing their performances and tours.
Âme is a German house and techno duo comprised of Kristian Beyer and Frank Wiedemann. They began producing music together in 2001, having initially met in 2000 in Beyer’s record shop in their hometown of Karlsruhe. Their shared interest in Chicago house and Detroit techno formed the foundation of their collaborative work. The duo has released music on various record labels, including Ostgut Ton and Sonar Kollektiv. In 2006, Mixmag magazine recognized Âme as the “Duo of the Year.”
Kristian Beyer and Frank Wiedemann are also key partners in the Innervisions record label in Berlin, Germany, alongside Dixon. This label is known for its selective release schedule and its focus on fostering the future of house music. Âme’s career has been marked by a commitment to musical evolution. After gaining initial recognition, they deliberately shifted their established sound to explore a more compositional approach, leading to critically acclaimed tracks that integrated experimental sounds and deconstructed classical elements.
Their work includes significant releases such as the club-focused track “Rej” and the cinematic “Tatischeff.” They have also contributed numerous remixes, including versions for artists like Moderat, The xx, and Franz Ferdinand. The duo maintains an active global touring schedule, with Kristian Beyer primarily performing as a DJ and Frank Wiedemann focusing on dynamic live sets. They also perform together as Âme II Âme, blending their individual strengths into unique concert experiences.
