April Wine first garnered national attention with their 1972 album ‘On Record’, which featured the Canadian number two hit ‘You Could Have Been a Lady’ and the top 20 single ‘Bad Side of the Moon’. This success led to ‘On Record’ achieving Gold certification in Canada that same year. The band’s professional journey began with their self-titled debut album ‘April Wine’ in 1971, which included the hit single ‘Fast Train’ and quickly established their presence in the Canadian music landscape. Throughout the 1970s, April Wine solidified their status, delivering a consistent string of hit songs and achieving widespread critical and commercial success.
Most recently, April Wine was inducted into Canadas Walk of Fame in 2023, continuing to perform across North America with current members Brian Greenway, Richard Lanthier, Roy Nichol, and Marc Parent, maintaining a dedicated fanbase and showcasing the enduring appeal of their rock catalog.
