Henry James Moodie, born on April 7, 2004, in Guildford, UK, began writing songs at age 11. By 14, he attended songwriting sessions in London on weekends. At 16, he left school to pursue music, playing in a band and completing a songwriting course in Fulham. Moodie initially gained popularity on TikTok by performing covers before transitioning to creating his original music, cultivating a global audience of over 10 million online fans who connect with his storytelling lyrics.
Moodie’s official music career commenced in 2022. His debut single, “You Were There For Me,” released in August 2022, peaked at number 39 on the UK Singles Download Chart. He toured with The Vamps at the end of that year. His single “Drunk Text,” released in January 2023, reached number 56 in the UK Download charts and gained significant attention in Southeast Asia a year later, topping the charts in Malaysia. In 2023, he supported artists such as Busted, Mimi Webb, and Lauren Spencer Smith on tours across Europe and the UK.
Throughout 2023, Moodie released several singles, including “Eighteen” (April), “Pick Up The Phone” (June), “Closure” (October), “Fight or Flight” (November), and “Orbit” (November). He released his debut EP, “In All of My Lonely Nights,” in January 2024, followed by the “Lonely Nights Tour” across Europe and the United States. In March 2024, he released “Beat Up Car,” and subsequently “Bad Emotions” and “Right Person, Wrong Time,” culminating in his second EP, “Good Old Days,” in October 2024, supported by the “Good Old Days Tour.”
