Art Alexakis

Art Alexakis is a musician and songwriter known for his role as the lead singer and guitarist of Everclear, bringing a distinctive voice to alternative rock and engaging in various industry and advocacy endeavors. After founding alternative rock band Everclear in 1993, Art Alexakis achieved widespread acclaim, securing three platinum albums for the group. This success included the release of Sparkle & Fade in 1995, So Much for the Afterglow in 1997, and Songs from an American Movie Vol. One: Learning How to Smile in 2000.

In 2000, he testified before Congress in support of HR 1488, advocating for child support enforcement. He also served as a delegate for the 2004 Democratic National Convention, actively participating in national political discourse. Alexakis has consistently used his platform to champion social causes, including publicly supporting LGBTQ+ rights, demonstrating his dedication to broader humanitarian efforts alongside his influential music career.
