Hodgy, also known as Jerry, is an American rapper and record producer recognized for his foundational role in the hip hop collective Odd Future.

Hodgy, as a solo artist, released his debut studio album, "Fireplace: TheNotTheOtherSide," through Odd Future and Columbia Records.
Gerard Damien Long, known professionally as Hodgy and currently as Jerry, was born on November 9, 1990, in Trenton, New Jersey. He spent his early childhood in Trenton before relocating to Southern California at the age of nine with his sister, following his mother’s remarriage. He attended Pasadena High School in Pasadena, California. Hodgy emerged as a founding member of the influential hip hop collective Odd Future, alongside artists such as Tyler, the Creator, Left Brain, Casey Veggies, and Matt Martians. He was the first member of Odd Future to release a solo project, titled “The Dena Tape,” in 2009. His involvement in Odd Future led to significant contributions across numerous projects and collaborations within the collective.
Throughout his career, Hodgy was integral to the duo MellowHype with Left Brain, releasing four albums: “YelloWhite,” “BlackenedWhite,” “Numbers,” and “INSA.” He also formed part of the MellowHigh trio, releasing their debut album “MellowHigh” in 2013, which reached number 89 on the US Billboard 200. Hodgy has six solo mixtapes under his former aliases, including “Untitled EP” and “Dukkha.” His debut studio album, “Fireplace: TheNotTheOtherSide,” was released in December 2016 through Odd Future and Columbia Records, featuring collaborations with artists like Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne.
In 2020, Hodgy completed a rehabilitation program and subsequently moved to Toronto, where he currently resides with his three children. After a period of inactivity, he released the single “Into Someone” in March 2022, followed by the project “Entitled” in May 2022. In 2023, he rebranded himself as Jerry and released the track “Facing the Worst Fears,” leading up to his latest full-length studio album, “Lovemesooner,” which was released on February 14, 2024. This career progression reflects a journey of personal and artistic development.
