From an early age, Brown demonstrated a passion for music, which led him to pursue a career as a singer, songwriter, and record producer. His career began by working with notable producers and artists, building a foundation for his distinct musical style.
Brown signed with Interscope Records and later with South Five Records. His early career involved significant collaborations, including work with Tim & Bob, The Underdogs, Cory Rooney, Q-Tip, Pharrell Williams, and Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. In 2011, he released his debut single, “All I Need,” on KIIS-FM and introduced his mixtape, “Highway 85,” at Wango Tango. The following year, his music video for “Menage A Trois” gained international attention, charting at number 1 on UK’s Bang Radio 103.6 FM for three weeks. He also performed at various notable events and venues, including CSU East Bay’s ‘Springfest’, SXSW, and BET’s “Music Matters” program. His album “Highway 85” was officially released on iTunes in 2013, garnering media coverage from outlets like the Huffington Post and USA Today. He has been featured in fashion magazines like Vogue Italia and Vman.
In recent years, Brown has continued his work in music production and songwriting. In 2018, he was credited as a writer and producer for the debut EP of Ashlee + Evan, contributing to tracks such as “I Do,” “Paris,” “Tonic,” and “I Want You.” He also contributed to Macy Gray’s album “Ruby,” taking on roles as a writer, drummer, guitarist, musician, and background vocalist. His versatility extends to various instruments, including keyboards, synthesizer, and xylophone.
