Barbara Pravi

A prolific songwriter and performer, Barbara Pravi established significant international recognition by composing ‘J’imagine’ for Valentina, which led to France’s victory at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2020. This followed her signing with Capitol Music France in 2015, where she released her self-titled debut extended play, ‘Barbara Pravi,’ in 2018, and the EP ‘Reviens pour l’hiver’ in 2020. Pravi has penned tracks for notable artists including Yannick Noah, Julie Zenatti, Chimène Badi, Kylie Minogue, and Jaden Smith. Her songwriting prowess also includes co-writing ‘Bim Bam toi’ for Carla Lazzari in the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest and co-writing ‘Oh Maman!’ for Lissandro, securing another Junior Eurovision win for France in 2022.

In 2023, Pravi transitioned her recording career by signing with Virgin Records France, a move that coincided with the release of her book ‘Lève-toi’ alongside a single of the same name. Expanding her presence in film, she took on the role of Florence in the 2023 TV movie ‘Adieu Vinyle.’ The following year, Pravi starred in Claude Lelouch’s film ‘Finalement’ (2024), for which she not only performed the entire soundtrack but also saw the project nominated for the 81st Mostra de Venice Fiction Movie competition. Demonstrating her commitment beyond entertainment, Pravi is an active advocate for women’s rights, regularly performing for related initiatives and participating in major charity events. In 2024, she contributed to the Belgian CAP48Heures, which successfully raised over 6 million euros.

Pravi released her highly anticipated second studio album, ‘La Pieva,’ in June 2024, immediately followed by the commencement of her accompanying La Pieva tour. Her distinctive work continues to blend traditional French chanson with contemporary elements, solidifying her reputation as a versatile and impactful artist across both music and acting.
