The raucous Black Stone Cherry is a fantastic rock band, who have released seven studio albums since their debut in 2006, two of which have been Gold-certified. They have also seen six UK Rock & Metal Albums chart No.1s, and two US Billboard Hard Rock Album charts No.1s.
Black Stone Cherry were formed in Kentucky in 2001 after Chris Robertson and John Fred Young, son of The Kentucky Headhunters rhythm guitarist Richard Young, had been playing music together since their early teens. They were joined by Ben Wells and Jon Lawhon and began recording tracks and performing in local clubs. They quickly gained a loyal following and released their first demo CD, Rock N’ Roll Tape, in 2003. Their debut, self-titled album was released in 2006 to great critical acclaim and was certified Silver soon afterwards. Since then they have released a further six studio albums, including the Gold-certified Folklore and Superstition in 2008, and Between the Devil & the Deep Blue Sea in 2011. The line-up has remained constant throughout their illustrious career, although Lawhon took an indefinite hiatus from music and touring in 2021 and was replaced by Steve Jewell.
Black Stone Cherry regularly connect with their hundreds of thousands of followers and fans through TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, posting pictures and comments about their musical lives.
