Bohemia, recognized as a pioneer of Punjabi rap and Desi Hip Hop, made his impactful debut in 2002 with the independent album Vich Pardesan De (In The Foreign Land). This autobiographical work established his unique voice within the emerging Punjabi rap scene and was later nominated in the BBC UK top ten albums around 2006. His career advanced significantly in 2006 with the release of Pesa Nasha Pyar, which marked a milestone as the first full-length Punjabi-rap album released by a major record label, Universal Music Group Pvt. Ltd.
India. The album quickly gained considerable attention, reaching #2 on Maxim India’s top 10 downloads and #3 on the Planet M chart, leading to a multi-record deal with Universal Music Group. Following this breakthrough, Bohemia expanded his reach into the film industry, performing the title tracks for major Bollywood films including Warner Bros’ ‘Chandni Chowk To China’ (2009) and ‘8 x 10 Tasveer’ (2009), both starring Akshay Kumar.
