Devante Milan McCreary, known professionally as BossMan Dlow, was born on August 31, 1998, in Port Salerno, Florida. He began his rapping career in 2019 while serving time in county jail, initially gaining traction in Tallahassee before expanding his reach across Florida. In January 2023, he released his debut mixtape, “Too Slippery,” which started to build a following on TikTok. His early career was marked by consistent music releases and building a regional fanbase.
His career saw a significant turning point in the summer of 2023 when he signed a record deal with Alamo Records. This led to the re-release of “Too Slippery” as “2 Slippery” in December 2023. The year 2024 proved to be a breakout period for BossMan Dlow. His single “Get in with Me,” released in January 2024 through Alamo Records, became widely popular on TikTok and Instagram. This track marked his debut on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 49 after five weeks on the chart. He followed this success with the popular single “Mr Pot Scraper” in February 2024 and released his third mixtape, “Mr Beat the Road,” in March 2024, which included singles like “Get in with Me,” “Mr Pot Scraper,” and “Piss Me Off.”
Later in 2024, BossMan Dlow was featured on Ciara’s single “Run It Up.” He released his debut studio album, “Dlow Curry,” on December 13, 2024, featuring collaborations with artists such as Babyface Ray, French Montana, GloRilla, Ice Spice, Lil Baby, and NoCap. The album received positive reviews and debuted at number 36 on the US Billboard 200. A deluxe edition of “Dlow Curry” was released on May 23, 2025, including an additional feature from Gucci Mane. His mixtapes have also achieved certifications, with “Mr Beat the Road” being certified Gold by the RIAA, and singles like “Get in with Me” receiving Platinum certification and “Mr Pot Scraper” and “Finesse” achieving Gold status.
