About

Vincent Ingala, born on December 10, 1992, in Prospect, Connecticut, is a contemporary/urban jazz multi-instrumentalist. His musical journey began at age four with a drum set, followed by guitar, piano, and eventually the tenor saxophone at age 10. Ingala is self-taught on all instruments, and exposure to various music styles through his father, a mobile disc jockey, influenced his early development. He started performing locally as a teenager, mastering a diverse range of genres including R&B, soul, funk, and smooth jazz.

Ingala released his debut album, “North End Soul,” in 2010 at age seventeen, handling recording, composing, and producing. This album featured smooth jazz and R&B elements across saxophone, guitar, and piano, with the song “It Is What It Is” reaching No. 14 on Billboard’s Smooth Jazz Songs. His second album, “Can’t Stop Now,” released in 2012, further demonstrated his capabilities, featuring collaborations with keyboardist Gregg Karukas and pianist Jonathan Fritzén. Ingala wrote or co-wrote seven tracks and was responsible for programming and composition. “Can’t Stop Now” peaked at No. 28 on the Billboard Jazz Albums and included “Wish I Was There,” which hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Smooth Jazz Songs.

His career progression continued with “Coast to Coast” in 2015, reflecting his relocation from Connecticut to Long Beach, California. This album, which peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Jazz Albums, saw Ingala manage programming, composing, producing, and vocals. Tracks like “When I’m With You” and “Coast To Coast” both achieved No. 1 positions on Billboard’s Smooth Jazz Songs. In 2018, Ingala signed with Shanachie Records, releasing “Personal Touch,” where he performed all instruments on 10 tracks and wrote eight of them, with “Snap, Crackle, Pop” spending five weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Smooth Jazz chart. He has released eight albums, with his most recent, “Escape with Me,” released in July 2024.
