Callista Clark

Callista Renee Clark was born on September 29, 2003, in Zebulon, Georgia. She began singing at a young age, performing in churches. At age 10, she learned the ukulele, followed by the guitar at 11, and later the piano. Her early musical development saw her writing her first song, “Wildfire,” at 11, initially as a poem for a school contest. Her talent gained widespread attention at 12 when she performed with Jennifer Nettles at a 4-H event. A significant moment in her early career was a Facebook cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?”, which garnered 29 million views, leading to her signing with Big Machine Records at 15.

Clark released her debut EP, “Real to Me,” on February 12, 2021, through Big Machine Records. This EP showcased her skills as a songwriter, with her co-writing all five tracks. Produced by Nathan Chapman, the lead single “It’s ‘Cause I Am” became the most successful new artist debut at country radio in 2021, reaching number 22 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. Her full-length album, “Real to Me: The Way I Feel,” followed on October 14, 2022, further solidifying her presence in the industry. Her dedication to her craft and ability to connect with audiences through her music have been consistent themes in her career.

Her career continued to advance with notable achievements, including being named to Opry NextStage’s class of 2022 and being featured on Billboard’s annual “21 Under 21” list for two consecutive years. She was also the youngest member of CMT’s Next Women of Country in the 2022 class. Clark has appeared on television shows such as TODAY show, Live with Kelly & Ryan, and KTLA, and has received recognition from publications including Forbes, PEOPLE, American Songwriter, and Hollywood Life. Her musical influences include 1980s and 1990s country artists like Travis Tritt, Randy Travis, and The Judds, as well as contemporary artists like Ingrid Andress.
