Chatham Rabbits

Chatham Rabbits is the husband-and-wife duo of Sarah and Austin McCombie, whose partnership in music and in marriage shapes everything they write and perform together. Building their act around close harmony singing and earnest storytelling, the two have grown their careers one show at a time, earning repeat invitations on festival stages across the American Southeast and mid-Atlantic.

A milestone on their live performance calendar came on 5 September 2021, when Chatham Rabbits appeared at the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival as part of the ‘Hot Strings and Cool Breezes’ bill, sharing the stage that day with Steep Canyon Rangers and The Gibson Brothers. Landing on a lineup alongside two of bluegrass and roots music’s most established acts marked a meaningful step in the duo’s touring trajectory and brought their music before a wider festival audience.

Working as a two-person operation, Sarah and Austin handle their careers directly, from songwriting to booking and performance, a do-it-together approach that has kept their music personal and their connection with audiences close.
