Cheer Chen

Cheer Chen is a prominent Taiwanese singer-songwriter known for her lyrical depth and independent approach to music. After her talent was recognized by Taiwanese rock musician Wu Bai, Cheer Chen signed with Rock Records in 1997, leading to the release of her debut album, ‘Think Twice,’ in July 1998. Prior to her solo career, Chen was a singer and guitarist in the underground band Sunscreen in the 1990s. Her early work quickly garnered critical acclaim, with her 2002 album, ‘Groupies,’ being named one of the 200 best albums of all time by the prestigious Taiwanese Musician Institute.

Her most recent full-length album, ‘Sofa Sea,’ was released in 2018, reinforcing her consistent output and artistic evolution.
