Clay Aiken

Clay Aiken, American singer, television personality, and actor, rose to prominence as a vocal talent on ‘American Idol’ and has since built a diverse career encompassing music, Broadway, and political activism. After finishing as the runner-up on the second season of American Idol in 2003, Clay Aiken quickly solidified his status as a major recording artist. His multi-platinum debut album, ‘Measure of a Man,’ released the same year, featured the hit single ‘This Is the Night’ and sold an impressive 613,000 copies in its first week, marking the highest-selling debut for a solo artist in a decade. In recognition of his immediate success, Aiken was honored with the American Music Awards Fan’s Choice Award in 2003.

Aiken continued his musical momentum with the release of the holiday album ‘Merry Christmas with Love’ in 2004, which set a new record as the fastest-selling holiday album in the Soundscan era. He followed this with ‘A Thousand Different Ways’ in 2006. Demonstrating his versatility beyond music, Aiken made his Broadway debut in 2008, starring as Sir Robin in ‘Spamalot’ through 2009. Concurrently, his dedication to humanitarian causes led him to co-found the Bubel/Aiken Foundation in 2003, later renamed the National Inclusion Project, an organization advocating for the integration of children with disabilities.

The same year, he released a new holiday album, ‘Christmas Bells Are Ringing’, further cementing his enduring presence in the music industry.
