Cloves first made a significant impact in 2013, achieving a Top 40 placement on the ARIA singles chart with her compelling cover of Melanie Safka’s ‘Brand New Key’ during her appearance on the second season of The Voice Australia. Having honed her craft performing in Melbourne’s local dive bars, she transitioned to her solo career, adopting the stage name Cloves in 2015. That year, she released her debut track ‘Frail Love,’ followed by the single ‘Don’t You Wait.’ Her critically acclaimed debut EP, XIII, was launched in November 2015 through Universal Music Australia, featuring the standout track ‘Don’t Forget About Me,’ which was notably included in the soundtrack for the 2016 Warner Bros. film Me Before You.

Released in 2021, Nightmare on Elmfield Road featured notable contributions from acclaimed producers and artists, including Hudson Mohawke and Clarence Coffee, Jr., solidifying her reputation for innovative songwriting and production. Cloves has maintained a consistent output of new music, releasing the acclaimed EP HER in 2023, which garnered significant attention for its introspective songwriting. Her creative momentum continues with the highly anticipated forthcoming EP, Bittersweet Melancholia, slated for release in 2025.
