Dead By Sunrise was formed by Bennington in 2005, driven by his desire to explore darker, moodier musical material that diverged from Linkin Park’s stylistic framework during the writing process for their ‘Minutes to Midnight’ album.

The band also participated in Linkin Park’s memorial concert for Bennington on October 27, 2017, further cementing their legacy and the enduring impact of their music within the alternative rock landscape.
