His passion for music was further fueled by his studies in English and Southern Studies at Ole Miss, where he drew inspiration from iconic artists like Serge Gainsbourg and Lee Hazlewood.

In 2009, Dent May released his debut album, “The Good Feeling Music of Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele,” under the Paw Tracks label.
