Dexys, formerly known as Dexys Midnight Runners, achieved significant commercial success in the 1980s with their unique blend of pop rock, soul, and Celtic folk influences, marking their place in music history with chart-topping hits and distinctive imagery. After their debut single ‘Dance Stance’ reached the UK Top 40 in 1979, Dexys Midnight Runners swiftly made their mark with a distinctive blend of pop rock, soul, and Celtic folk. Their rousing follow-up single ‘Geno’ soared to number one on the UK pop charts in 1980, establishing the band’s energetic sound. That same year, their debut album ‘Searching for the Young Soul Rebels’ achieved commercial success, further cementing their early reputation.

Their sixth studio album, ‘The Feminine Divine,’ released in 2023, entered the UK Official Albums Chart at number 6, supported by ‘The Feminine Divine Live!’ tour across the UK and Ireland in 2023. Ahead of their 2024 Glastonbury Festival performance, Dexys announced the 2CD/3LP live album _The Feminine Divine + Dexys Classics: Live!_, solidifying their enduring legacy and innovative musical journey.
