Dolly Parton is an iconic singer, songwriter, actress, and philanthropist, renowned for her extensive musical career, business ventures, and significant humanitarian contributions. After achieving her first charting single, ‘Dumb Blonde,’ which reached number 24 on the country chart in 1967, Dolly Parton released her debut album, Hello, I’m Dolly. Her career accelerated when Porter Wagoner invited her to join The Porter Wagoner Show that year, launching a successful duet partnership and securing an RCA Victor deal. Their collaboration ‘The Last Thing on My Mind’ hit the country Top 10, earning a CMA Vocal Group of the Year award in 1968.

That same year, she was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. The new millennium saw Parton earn a Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for ‘Little Sparrow’ (2001), the National Medal of Arts (2004), and Kennedy Center Honors (2006). She received the prestigious Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011. Parton embarked on the Blue Smoke World Tour in 2014, including a celebrated performance at Glastonbury Festival for over 180,000 people.

She was honored with the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016. In 2022, Parton was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She released Rockstar in 2023, her highest-charting Billboard 200 album, peaking at number three. Parton is slated to receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award in 2025 and plans a Las Vegas residency for 2026.
