Dominic David Fike was born on December 30, 1995, in Naples, Florida. His early life was marked by challenges, with both parents struggling with drug addiction, leading to a childhood spent in various homes. Despite these circumstances, Fike developed an early interest in music, learning to play the guitar at age ten. He was influenced by artists such as Jack Johnson, Blink-182, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. During his high school years, he started uploading his music online, including to SoundCloud, where he began to gain recognition through collaborations with his producer, Hunter Pfeiffer (54).
Fike’s professional career began with the release of his debut extended play, “Don’t Forget About Me, Demos,” in October 2018. This EP garnered significant attention, leading to a bidding war among record labels before he signed with Columbia Records for an reported $4 million. His single “3 Nights” from the EP achieved international success, charting in the top ten in multiple countries, including Australia, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. The song’s acoustic guitar sound drew comparisons to Jack Johnson’s style and received positive reviews from publications like Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and Billboard. In the following years, Fike expanded his musical collaborations, working with artists such as Brockhampton, Kevin Abstract, Halsey, Justin Bieber, and Paul McCartney, further solidifying his presence in the music industry. His debut studio album, “What Could Possibly Go Wrong,” was released in 2020, followed by his second album, “Sunburn,” in 2023.
In 2022, Fike made his acting debut in the second season of the HBO series “Euphoria,” portraying the character Elliot. This role marked a significant turning point in his career, introducing him to a wider audience and showcasing his acting abilities. He has since appeared in films such as “Earth Mama” (2023) and “Little Death” (2024), and is confirmed to reprise his role in the third season of “Euphoria” in 2025.
